Yeah, he's quite colourful. There's some truth to some of what he says in between the swearing.

Pragmatic Dave gave a nice interview recently.

I disagree with his notion of not talking about code. We need to talk about code to gather ideas and promote better communication between developers. While the waterfall methodology does have its place, agile has some real advantages over tis dated approach.
 
Most companies claim they use Agile, but actually their methodology is JFDI - Just F****ing Do It
 
This guy is full of it.

You should qualify your statement.

Agile as a word/thing is crap and ruining software projects. You shouldn't need cards, stories, a fancy board and story points to get a project done. Sometimes common sense and doing your damn job as a developer (or "senior" developer) is all that is needed.

In fact if there is one thing I can remove from all this agile crap it would be those story points.


+1 on the JFDI methodology.
