Hi. When i goto mxlookup to test my exchange server, i get failures on my reverse dns lookup. When i refresh the page and try again..it resolves. Is this an Mweb problem or is it my setup? I'm having sporadic problems with receiving mail from hotmail, and i was told this is because they cannot resolve my dns , hence, they see me as a spammer. Any thoughts?

when did you register this reverse lookup? It can take anything from a few hours up to a few days to "replicate" (if i can call it that). You will be classed a spammer by some/most servers if reverse DNS is not working.

Another way to test is to try from different locations, maybe vpn to a different country etc. see if it is still erratic. You might be receiving to different DNS servers from your service provider/Telskum which could be causing the issue.

Dumbass alert! The mail that was being sent contained a .wav file and was subsequently deleted with no ndr by GFI mail security. Pfft. My bad. Still doesnt solve the results i get when using abovementioned tool. Oh well..must be the traffic on rainy days like these...Thanx for the reply.
