Anyone know why this is happening?

No-matter what I download, it starts off at 200kbps for 2 seconds, then drops completely. Constantly spikes up and down, meaning that downloads are almost impossible. After a while they stop completely.

Also get this message from time to time : "Error selecting group: *@#&$#^@JKHJKHKJ*&^*&" with a bunch of gibberish...

Other times it just hangs....

Anyone know why this is happening?

Reset your connection and restart grabit. Sometimes it helps to refresh the group list.

Otherwise ask the guys at newshost.za.net ;)

are u using avast anti-virus by any chance...

Nope - using Kaspersky.

Not sure what is happening. Restarting only fixes it for a few seconds - then back to square one!

Is it only me? Tried asking over at newshost - no joy :(

Thanks for the suggestion on another NZB client as I was wondering if any out there cater for scheduling and BAM , this one does :D

MrWireless, Whose ur ISP & u on wireless :p by anychance ?

U using a router or modem?

More info appreciated .

Then the files arnt cached, i can guarantee that. File retention on the server sucks, other than that its fine.

Hmmmmm....

Wow - tried that Alt.binz proggie - and BAM, 400K constant downloads!

Have a IPCop setup, with 1 x WebAfrica 3GB international line, 1 x OpenWeb 30GB local only - separating international and local...ADSL 4MB line...

Used to work fine, didnt change anything but as I said became erratic...could not work out why or what was causing it and its been like this for probably more than 2 weeks now!

Alt.binz is working like a dream. Most I used to get out of Grabit was like 300K, took a squiz now and its going at 424K strong...much easier to use aswell!

Gotta love this forum!
