Erratic line speed in Table View area

Hi. We have been having problems our ADSL line for months now. We have upgraded from 2mg to 4mg and now to 10mg. We keep losing server connection especially when gaming. On saix speedtest we get e.g. 17ping and 28mbps then a minute later it is 15 ping and 42mbps next time 22 ping and 3mbps and then again 20 ping and 76mbps. It also spikes so in a test it goes to 4, drops to zero, spikes to 46 then back to zero. It is very erratic and makes downloading almost impossible. Telkom has given us a new line, new port, replaced lines, etc etc. No one can figure out what the problem is. We swopped out routers too. All our devices on LAN cable and wifi do the same thing. We moved from Mweb to Webafrica and nothing changed. Anyone else have had this issue?:cry:

I am using 10mbps and no issues. It sounds like a port problem on the dslam ask them to change the port to see if it fixes the problem.

What ISP ? I am with Afrihost.
 
We are on a new port. Everything has been changed. Poor Telkom guys have spent 2 days fault finding but couldn't find the issue. They say they have never seen anything like it. Goes all the way to 76mbps. I wish it was that fast but the unstable line makes downloads almost impossible.Going to run that speed test now.

changed physical port? (Dslam change port) recrimped?

no power cables running next to it. sounds like interference from somewhere.

please post line stats.
 
ask what are you on? Dslam or Msam/Isam? as well to put a limit in by ATUC, leaving it unlimited basically causes line to sync at max speed possible and clearly yours is not set and making you line freak out.
