Erricson V600 -Internet problem

I am trying to connect a V600 to internet via pc. the phone can connect to the pc. when I dail in *99# it authenticates, AND Connect, but no page want to load.

is it a phone setting problem?

Had exactly the same problem. The only way I could get it to work was to load the software on the cd and have the software create the connection. Then I used the modem and settings the software created to make my own manual connection so that I don't have to use the Ericsson software all the time.

I know that with my Nokia there is a hidden setting within the Nokia Suite I have to set which allows me to connect. Without that setting the phone connects, but doesn't authenticate. basically I have to give it my GPRS network name. Probably irellevant to your problem, but my 2c worth may help

I checked on my pc, the advanced initialisation string for the modem is +CGDCONT=5,"IP","internet","0.0.0.0",0,0
and the number to dial is *99***7#
Dunno, maybe if you have some settings already on your phone or pc it may come out different. This works for me. If it ain't broken, don't fix it

i think what is happening is the computer is dialling the defualt connection (the VLive connection) which should not work. instead you should change your dialup number to *99***2# i should know as i have a V600i. you can still use the Vlive profile, but u need Opera browser and certain proxy settings which i will not divulge.

Mine is on *99***6#

I had a similar problem and finally had to edit the DNS entry in my registry which was defaulting to my corporate LAN DNS.

the 0006# is the number data account setting number configured on your handset
on the v600i you can have multiple configs stored on the phone.

ie. i use one for mtn and one for vodacom.
all i do depending on which network i want to surf on i change the number to 1-9
