Hi All.
I have a problem and have no idea to get around this at the moment.
The scenario is like this:
There are multiple users connected on a server and they all use the same Access Database file to connect to a database sitting in SQL Server 2008.
The problem is when one of the users lose connection to the server, it causes access to not respond and when you close access down, it tries to backup the database which it cannot do because there are in 15 - 30 users using the same access file.
So to reopen the access connection to SQL I physically need to either let everyone log off and copy over a copy of the access file or i copy over a access file and put it in a different location or call it something else for the user to use on the server.
My question is the following:
1) Is there a way to remove the auto backup feature (so to speak) which access uses when it closes down unexpectedly.
Im not going to give everyone their own version which would mean to make sure there are 30 copies of this file on the server which they all can use.
Thanks
