Error on WOW

I installed WOW, and the burning crusade add-on pack.
When i double click the WOW icon, I get the following error "cannot load new patch for world of warcraft"

What must i do to fix this ?

Try run the launcher.exe first?

there is a exe in the wow folder called "repair.exe" or something. when i ran this and let it do its thing all wow errors disappeared.

ok it said something along the lines of an updated launcher and tools are available.
failed to apply new patch.


this thing is irritating the ************** out of me...

What patch is it failing to apply?

As said run the repair.exe
It will connect to the server to upload patches aswell if it is corrupt.

ok, i did a repair, and it still says the same thing as i said above.
it doesn't tell me which patch is giving the error or cannot be applied.

even when i log into the game, it says cannot apply new patch....

The servers may be still down though, as wednesdays is maintanance day, so I would try again after 13:00

Install first only the normal game and check if it works, then upgrade it to TBC. Install all the patches after you completed a test run to see if it works.
You have not tried something funny like using a US version to connect to the EU, or changed some settings in the realm list etc?
