Started getting an error last night, as I navigate my local folders using explorer. The Error has no message, it only has the options Yes and No. It appears when I change directories. Im struggling to find any further info on this because its non descript. Ran a Virus check and nothing came up, but definitions are old and my pc is standalone.

Anyone know if this is a virus? anyone know of a tool that would possibly fix my explorer so it stops giving me the error? BTW whether I choose yes or no doesn't seem to matter.

It throws the error probably about once evey 3 times the directory is changed. Back and forward navigation does the same, and remote directories too.

I noticed that some spyware had installed itself on my pc (poker, online shopping, pharmacy etc) the anti virus doesn't pick anything up. I deleted the shortcuts it made in the start menu/desktop. Ansd thats when this started.

Im using XP

Thanks In Advance

Definately sounds like malware. Install spybot and/or adware and run a full scan. Also run a online scan free from kaspersky.
