Errors on ADSL line

For the last 2 days, I've been getting a bunch of downstream "superframe errors" and "HEC errors" on my router.

Also, the router's guesstimate of the attainable speed dropped from 9mbps to 2,4mbps.

Atm its not really a problem since I'm on 384 and therefore not really limited by the decreased line quality....but its annoying me since it ran perfectly fine for a year or so without any errors. And it'll make it impossible to upgrade.

Anybody know where I would start hunt for the source?

It guesstimates it. Based on SNR I suppose. D-Link 2640U.
