eSIM data bundle comparison in South African

does not allow users to add eSIM profiles from third-party eSIM providers.
Yes, 5ber does. I've used it in Europe and the far east. Works very well with its own eSim providers and with 3rd party eSim providers. Haven't tried it in SA yet.

Used Airalo in Singapore, Hong Kong, Macau and Indonesia about a month ago. Worked wonderfully. Just note that you have to turn your existing sim....off, then it works better.

I bought the 5gb Regional simcard for Asia and it worked well. Sure its kinda pricey but then again my brother got a roaming got bad bill of R5k when his provider said they turned his data off but didnt, which he noticed when he had just landed. Way to go Vodacom.

Oh you can pay via Paypal too.

So you buy a sim to be an esim? Doesnt most modern phones support esim these days anyway?

Iphone 11 and up is Esim, and Samsungs a bit all over.

Even Airalo has global but I prefer regional which is cheaper.

Would you mind testing and letting us know about the South African networks please 😁😁. Keen to buy one

Megsapp isnt mentioned here, but they are probably the best option for foreign tourists though.

There isn't any need for proof of residence for foreigners and the whole RICA process takes a second about 1 minute. This is in total contrast to Afrihost which needed multiple steps of verification, selfies and proof of residence
Afrihost cannot be blamed for following the [insert colorful adjective] RICA laws that are imposed on them though.

Afrihost seems to impose requirements above and beyond what RICA actually requires though. Things like selfies aren't at all required.
