Here we go again, the same guy who is selling solar products is warning us of increased Loadshedding in the next five years years. I'm sure there is no conflict of interest here.

4,600 MW of renewable energy generation was expected to come online from Bid Window 5 in 2021. However, 12 of the 25 projects have failed to reach financial close while a further 4 are awaiting financial closure.
This is a real issue. The capacity is reserved for these projects. Ideally it should expire within 12 or 24 months. I wonder why Eskom doesn’t have that in their IPP grid access contract. You can’t exactly allow everyone to feed in anywhere otherwise you’ll have issues with the grid frequency or cables/substations melting.

Actually a great time to buy, most of these okes are sitting with access stock, you can pick up 555w panels for R2300 currently.

Loadshedding or not that will definitely bring down your electricity bill at least, even batteries are getting cheaper , can currently pick up a GWM brand SVOLT lithium 5kwh for like R18500.
