Eskom board and management can't comprehend engineers' input - lobbyist

Tired of all these BEE armchair shill "engineers" with their 2 cents.

Imagine, such a simple thing as burning coal at the wrong temp is the cause of all our problems!!!

Its all smoke and mirrors to attempt to hide the fact it was the ANCs cadres who ran the stations to the ground.

Now I am curious as to how they control the burning temperature of coal, more o2 will make it hotter but how do you cool it down? less air intake? add argon?

I'm intrigued as to how he knows this, and also why would the Board be getting involved in Operational issues like this?

Management yes, but they should be deferring to the Engineers if the Engineers recommendation is to burn at a lower temperature surely?

Also he is merely an Investment Banker type person, so he is blaming the Board of being pretty much exactly like him then?

Any evidence or data to support these these opinions of yours or is it just good ol racism again?

Anyone really surprised?

Aren't we the country of 'engineers' ordering too-tall trains and such..?

Those that can are prevented by those that cannot, and it leads to all sorts of calamities but who cares its just Africa, right, corruption isn't a problem here are all.

No-one should be surprised. Azania is being returned to its primal, tribal roots ✊. Soon we will all be son's of the soil, forced to eat dirt biscuits like Acorn-head and his red beret in Sandton. Just like clockwork (and apparently the only thing that operates as such around here), the rapid Decolonization and de-Westernization of our new socialist marxist communist paradigm/utopia, is proceeding precisely according to plan ! IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, go back to Europe. Only to be met by some more "African" migrants who happened to flee abroad seeking greener pastures/opportunities (not ironic at all..).

Pardon the rant, I suppose...

Honestly I'm surprised not more people are shouting "Told you so" at this point... It's been 13 years since load shedding dawned on us, and the situation has only worsened in that time. If anyone still thinks we're going to just close our eyes one evening and wake up the next morning to everything being efficiently and amicably resolved, well, let them bask in their delusion for a while longer I suppose. the rural hordes who insist on keeping the ANC in power at all costs, have little to lose anyway - they seem to be getting along just fine without running water or education, probably won't notice the whole grid collapsing around them anyway until they can't buy a loaf of bread anymore (rewind zimbabwe and press play) so this is of no concern to them it would seem. But, what would you know, that's who we're up against. So...no. Not surprised at all over here, except for the fact that there are still so many liberal-minded dreamers amongst us who will find a way to blame JVR or apartheid for it all even while the real elephant in the room proceeds to crush even their skulls with his massive feet ..

So they're ignoring the impact of BEE.
Yes, we know.

Any evidence
The constant blackouts that have been affecting everyone for the last 10 years as well as the bloated workforce not resulting in similar expected increases in generation since 1994 despite newer technologies available.

Generation effeciency is down to 64.19% in 2021 from 81.6% in 1995 despite two decades of global improvements in generation automation, all this with the vast reduction in white employees since 1995 according to Solidariteit.

This is also in conjunction with over R18B specifically spent on black empowerment projects.

Independent energy expert
Sounds nice on a business card.

I'm not saying the guy is incorrect or isn't qualified, but I do wonder what his background is exactly.

He's an investment banker type from his LinkedIn profile.

So he isn't actually qualified, but he's an "expert" that the media can rely on to provide great headlines.

Water. Water cools things down. And Eskom knows this. It is why they keep leaving the coal out in the rain. They are trying to decrease the burn temperature.

I would not be surprised if he is correct. Obviously Eskom doesn't know what it is doing. Would be easy for them to comment.

I'm guessing it's more than one problem.

They probably run it hotter to generate more power. I think it's made to run at the standard temperature and not cooler.
