Eskom close to stage 2 load-shedding

Eskom’s breakdowns averaged 15,076 MW over the last week, well above its base case of 13,000 MW for the 2025 winter period.

This was revealed in an Eskom system update late on Friday, 20 June 2025, in which the power utility reported its latest performance data.

Here’s another one, Eskom destroying economy faster than its destroying itself:

The power utility’s saving grace in 2025 could be the reduction in demand of more than 1,000MW — equivalent to one stage of load-shedding.

For example, in week 25 of 2025, Eskom is only expecting residual demand to reach 30,036MW, compared with 31,271MW in the same week last year.

They always on the brink of disaster much like this degenerate cANCer joke of a government. Anyways I am sure another electricity increase so the fat f*** Eskum execs can slobber more at the gravy troughs will sort out load shedding.

It will sort out load-shedding for themselves. Nice large solar system at home with gas and generator backup. Nothing but the best for our royal cadres.

Yep. I have been to a certain cANCer cadres house in Houghton a few years ago to do a quote on something. They are not suffering that is a guarantee. This is why they are so disconnected with the realities of what the average citizen battles with daily.

I bet they aren't paying their rates either.

Don't care as long as we don't get shed, we should all stop caring nowadays and just let it be. Watching it and trying to guess when and how will be pointless

Ahh, cause 628ah battery would be great, 3 times my current and 50% more than my new planned, but it would require 4 additional panels.
That's the price I would pay for a battery. I wouldn't worry about after sales. Just buy another cheap cheap and use faulty one for spares.

I also wouldn't bother with 5kWh sizes.

5kw with that battery is a bit small, would look at an 8kw inverter. My 12kw says minimum battery size 400ah. 5kw is fine up to 200ah. Unless you also start throwing in a separate solar controller to handle larger panel array and batteries.
I mean you could at ideal circumstances cover 300ah of battery with 4 to 5kw of panels but just just.

You can't get 5 or 8kWh inverter, only batteries, therefore, I was talking about battery sizes.
