Eskom diesel contracts shocker

Not surprised at all this is standard practice BEE dealing these days.
 
Surely state owned companies must adhere to a set of guide lines they need to follow.

IIRC isn't there suppose to be a list of approved contractors/suppliers etc. Made public. Very soon all tender awards made public..

Not sure if SOC will follow the same principal... We wait and see. Transparency is the key for vote of confidence

Under the ANC, they have raised the bar when it comes to violating principles and promoting corruption!

Obviously a technical and capability assessment had to be done to establish whether these two companies can provide the large quantity of diesel that Eskom would need at any given time, or at least I hope.

Let's wait for the article with headline "Eskom Load Sheds as Dentist and Beautician unable to supply Diesel" before we moan.

Surely it's cheaper to buy directly from the few known large companies(manufacturers) than via a middle man?
