Unless your geyser is outside or has no insulation, it shouldn't matter too much. The bigger difference will be the size of the geyser - and the temperature of the water.
The MOST efficient 200L geyser should only be 'losing' less than 1.0kWh per day just keeping hot. That's all based on SANS standard (SANS 151ed7*) which is based on 48 hours of test keeping the geyser at 70 deg with a 20 deg ambient -- no wind, no moisture, no usage. As someone else said, Your Mileage May Vary (YMMV) - but if it does significantly, you should do something about it -- e.g. turn down geyser, get a blanket etc.
