Eskom extends load shedding

Eskom has announced that stage 2 load shedding will continue until Friday (7 February), with a high probability of power cuts extending into the weekend.

Loadshedding expected until grid collapse.

It won't. Before that happens there will some kind of intervention, foreign or local. We will, however, be paying for that, whether it is nuclear plants being built or ships.

The way I understand it is that loadshedding has been extended to next Friday, 14 February. They did say that there is a high probability of every day loadshedding for at least the next 18 months.
They want everyone to have candle lit dinners with there loved ones for Valentines day, nothing wrong with that!

Get an inverter, live stress free. I'm posting this in every loadshedding thread.

Seriously, last night my wife and I were enjoying netflix as usual, while the entire suburb was dark. It really makes a difference when you can continue your normal routine despite loadshedding.

Batteries and investors should be tax free + a rebate from government.

Yes and no...

I have an inverter connected to my fridge, last weekend they REALLY screwed up with schedules in our area, resulting in 13+hours a day without power. I may have had cold drinks and ice cubes(which were appreciated very much due to the heat), but it wasn't long before there was no phone signal or internet, water was low pressure and some areas didn't have any water due to pumps not working anymore
