I think it will only have an effect if loadshedding suddenly gets worse 2 weeks before elections. The public have very short memories so they have to be suffering extra hard just before they have to make their mark.

TL/DR, no point suffering now, we need to suffer hard in the month leading up to elections. I'm going to try my best to reach stage 8.
