Eskom did not load shed on the weekend of 29/30th October... They said that demand was no high.... What they didn't tell us is that they did not load shed because of the Zulu Kings coronation... Students can learn without power, it does not bother them that the future leaders of this country are suffering... Well done eskom

What do you have to substantiate this claim? Or did you ignore the actual data publish and pull this out of thin air?

Demand was lower because everyone was outside celebrating the coronation.

Demand was significantly lower this weekend, even with the thermal drop on the 30th we still were 5GW over demand.

There was no loadshedding this weekend so that my sister could have her Halloween party. This coronation thing was way lower on the list of priorities.

It frankly wouldn't surprise me if they suspended maintenance for something like that. As crazy as it sounds.

This sounds about right - those numbers are fake anyway - as per the title, Eskom is lying to us.

I do not care what the reason was I'm just glad that there was no loadshedding. Hope it happens every weekend.
