I must say that I am really impressed by the latest hard-ball attitude that Eskom is portraying with their load reduction policies.

Especially the straight forward wording of their press-releases, definitely shows real intent under new and strong leadership.

LOAD REDUCTION - GAUTENG

Saturday, 18 July 2020: We are implementing load reduction from 17:00 – 22:00 to avoid network overloading in high density areas that are prone to illegal connections, meter bypasses and vandalism of electricity infrastructure.

Affected Areas:
Soweto

Chiawelo, Dhlamini, Jabavu, Jabavu Central Western, Jabulani, Klipspruit, Mofolo Central, Mofolo North, Mofolo South, Molapo, Moroka, Moroka North, Orlando Ekhaya, Orlando West, Pimville Zones 1 to 7 & 9, Senaoane and Zondi.
