The state-owned firm, which supplies 95 percent of electricity in Africa's largest economy, said net profit for the six months to end-September was 9.5 billion rand ($1.4 billion), compared with 1.1 billion rand in the same period a year earlier.

Revenue totalled 51.1 billion rand, compared with 38.3 billion rand in the same period a year earlier.

Sounds like a generous round of bonuses is in order.

Great, no more need for the annual increases then.

Wtf am I saying, there are still bonuses to pay :/

And we will still have the next increase and the next...and we have to suck it up like good little lambs.

All this means is that they're not pissing all of the money into their own pockets, and that some money is managing to remain in the company bank accounts for future investments.
Possibly.

How much does Telkom need for the proposed work needed for more power?

But they asked for more money 2 weeks ago and Pravin gave it...
More christmas bonuses for the idiots it seems

Comments from the peanut gallery. How about some intelligent comments. Did anyone analyse the data before making quite bold claims?

BTW. I fckn hate ESCUM
