Eskom proves Andre de Ruyter wrong

Despite former CEO Andre de Ruyter's claims that reduced load-shedding was due to excessive diesel use, Eskom's 2025 results show that it significantly decreased its reliance on its expensive diesel-powered generators.

FY 2023 is Apr 2022 to Mar 2023, meaning that somehow he magically had 21 billion to spend on diesel in 2022? FY 2022 he had 8.6 billion? In FY 2021 it was 5.75 billion, note this would between apr 2020 to mar 2021 (COVID times and very low demand from Apr to July).

A sliver of diesel usage in September, last time before that was almost a month before

Everyone but his die hard fans know De Ruyter is a BS artist of dubious management competence.

worthless lies and slander from a guy who fled for his life after exposing the rot and corruption in the ANC, and eskom itself

Imagine ADR had stayed in SA, how long would he still be breathing? how long before the ANC death squads would finish the job?

just love how eskom is like, Nah, we was just a guy who did nothing we could have solved load shedding all this time.
with dancing clowns and reduced demand.

Eskom crowing about a situation that never should have arisen in the first place but did because of their own incompetence and outright criminality. Now they want us to slap them on the back and tell then what little stars they are for almost achieving normal.
