Eskom publishes another load-shedding update

Doesn't really make sense, stage 2 today for it to remain at stage 3/4 tomorrow? Though I may not have power from them for 3 weeks. But hey they are the ones losing out on income.

I love how vague they are these days.

Ain't no thing but a chicken wing to me right now, could be stage 8.
Have you worked out your kWh genny costs yet? Keen to know when its cheaper than eskom. What % load are you running on it, or rather what is the most efficient load to run on a genny, 100%?

80% is the most efficient at 100% you're chomping petrol. Currently Eskom is still cheaper it's about R9 per kWh on the gennie, but I do only run it for an hour or so to heat the geyser and maybe keep the load off the batteries, so 4.5kw for an hour at R42 for that time period.

Makes no difference the slots stay the same.
Makes no difference trying to follow it as it always changes on short notice. Just go with the flow. Then 2 weeks before the elections turn all the aircons on.
