South Africa’s return to deeper electricity outages is due to an increase in repairs at the state power utility’s plants that are needed to improve the reliability of the grid, according to the Electricity Minister.

More like repairs which should have happened during winter but were delayed to save us from record load shedding and thus the ANC from more negative publicity.
At some point Eskom have to bite the bullet and shut things down to repair and maintain them.

Which is what they are doing now so be grateful. Andre didn’t manage to do any of this because he wanted to safe face. Now Eskom is doing what should’ve been done. Yay.
