Eskom set to post record loss

Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd., which supplies about 95% of South Africa’s power and is reliant on government bailouts to remain solvent, is set to announce its second consecutive multi-billion rand annual loss on Tuesday. The big question is: How many billions?

The state-owned utility forecast in January that its loss would widen to about 20 billion rand ($1.4 billion) in the year through March, from 2.3 billion rand the year before.

When you take 8 years longer to build power stations at 10x the original cost and then.....oopsy they don't work, well no surprises here.

And how much does Soweto owe?

luckily there's a lot of jail time coming for the people involved in state capture and getting eskom into this unrecoverable hole it is in.

just kidding, nobody's going to jail.

Without a link to your source how would we know that's true?

Just joking :)
