Eskom has announced that Stage 3 load-shedding will continue to be implemented until further notice.

The power utility previously planned to drop load-shedding to Stage 2 at 05:00 each morning for the foreseeable future.

So according to this, as of 2022 Eskom had an installed generating capacity of 52 294 MW.

Both, we get loadshedding because there isn't enough generating capacity, either due to regular maintenance or breakdowns, then we have to manage the load on the demand side.
