Eskom turnaround miracle

Eskom has performed a remarkable turnaround with regard to its Energy Availability Factor (EAF), crossing 65% during this week.

This is feedback from Chris Yelland, energy analyst and managing director of EE Business Intelligence, who outlined Eskom’s impressive EAF improvement.

So, where can we read all about this 'remarkable turnaround' then? - No link provided above ^^^...

According to former CEO Andre de Ruyter, most of Eskom's problems were due to criminal mafias including poor quality coal suppliers, many headed by ANC grandees.

It's almost as if, when Loadshedding became so bad that the ANC was threatened, the criminal mafias decided to take a break until after the elections (and Eskom went crazy burning diesel to keep the lights on). Both Eskom and the ANC have denied this, but Nersa gazetted for Stage 16 for some reason.

June 1st is just around the corner; we will see the truth soon enough.

Eskom, ANC and pretty much anyone who can read has called rubbish on the DA/De Ruyter diesel conspiracy.

Surprisingly, just a month before elections and they come up with all sorts of stories to justify their lack of load shedding.

Mark my words - stock up on candles if you are poor like Martin, or if you are rich ANC cadre like @TheChamp, inverters and batteries.

In 3 weeks we will be back to Stage eleventy and six four.

All we need to know is which generators contributed to the increased EAF since March.

Knowing that the majority of Eskom’s generation is from coal, shouldn't that be obvious?

And this week we've lost over 3GW since last week Sunday, OCGTs were more than likely used
