Eskom's secret 28% electricity price increase

Eskom's incoming electricity tariff adjustments include steeper increases in fixed charges that will punish its low-usage customers, including small households and rooftop solar power users.

The National Energy Regulator of South Africa (Nersa) recently announced that it approved an average electricity tariff increase of 8.76% for Eskom Direct customers, effective 1 April 2026.
 
Government is just alienating itself and will at some point discover that it is public enemy number one. Personally off grid is my planned path forward, the government is going to whistle for any money from me going forward.
 
You realise burning cash is illegal? It's not yours ad you are merely borrowing it from the Reserve Bank for circulation purposes. Whoever is responsible for that photo has committed a felony and must be prosecuted.

Eskom and NERSA both deserve to meet a fiery end.
