Esquire DVIX Media Player

Hi all,
Has anyone used the Esquire DVIX Media Player?
http://www.shopeasy.co.za/ProductDescription.aspx?id=441471

Got it 2ndhand - mine (and according to a complaint on hellopeter.com - ALL units!) have this horrible feedback whine if placed next to a TV/PC speakers...

Avoid if at all possible...

I've asked Joe_M if he can maybe get me hooked up with the updated firmaware - maybe that will sort it out?

Cheers

Chris

I just sourced myself a ZIONCOM ZC-HV0103, also looks very very cool and almost identical to the MVIX. MVIX is a little overpriced. I had a MVIX 5000 a little while back. Sold it, and been looking for a better solution ever since. The HV0103 can use a IDE or SATA, and has a ethernet port, so u can stream and copy vids over your home network. Based on the previous post, I'm happy to give it a try.

I also recently tried out the new LG DVD players DV392H with USB. They're absolutely great, and the USB picks up your external drive etc, with ONE BIG WEAKNESS, its limited to file count size of 650 BLLAAAHHHHHHH!!! So, really, your 500GB drive with 2000 files on it, is useless, doesnt even pick up the device if its more than 650 files. Someone also told me that they only pick up USB devices that the port can power. Any device that has its own power, doesnt get picked up...BLAHHHHHHH!!! So really, u limited to smaller type mobile USB devices that will work on it..
