With 700 000 visits a month and over 50 000 registered non dealer members, it's for the public. Let's not kid around...

It's total BS. Complete violation of the contract signed between the supplier and the reseller.

Long LONG story short. It's wrong and BS.

this is a real issue actually...it should be raised with mybb mods and possibly the claims court. They are violating terms of agreement...antitrust.
 
It's being dealt with. There is a massive email out between all the major online shops (Prophecy, Landmark, Buycomputers and more all cc'd in) and also including their manufacturers (PointOfView etc)...

Complaints are in the process of being lodged with the competition commission.

Allowing a supplier to act as a dealer on this site is wrong.

If all suppliers opened their door to the public it would be chaos. Selling to the public destroys the market place and pricing structure nationally.

It's complete greed.

I would post the email here and the whole indaba that's going on, but I fear it would cause problems.

As a business we want to protect our name and don't want to get in the middle of any legal business.

Cara from MYADSL knows the whole story, she's been cc'd in on the story and there's been no response from her.

Q) How do I become a reseller for the products that are sold by ESQUIRE ?

A) If you want to become an ESQUIRE reseller then firstly you must be a reseller of Computer hardware, software and accessories, unfortunately ESQUIRE does not sell directly to the public or End User.

I spoke to Durban branch they have been informed now , same special for Midrand can now be ordered in Durban.

now they (Durban branch) crying they also want an Xpress store in Durban , now need to sit with the bean counters and come up with a plan to get one opened asp :eek:

Yeah, I don't understand why we need to pay more than double at Computer shops - they are clearly ripping us off!

Matrix warehouse sells 1TB HDD's at R1600 - that's more than double the price!!!:eek: :mad:

I have on many occasions said that members of MyBB are extremely knowledgeable when it comes to hardware and do not require the support as an ordinary end user, in fact even our technicians use the MyBB as a reference if they came across a difficult issue to resolve with our business model to support SME market segment it is in our advantage to get those members to start purchasing from us and also become potential Small enterprises and eventually becoming potential Medium and large enterprises going forward.

I can tell you for a fact that many of the other distributors are doing the same but won’t tell you they doing it but they are , as it is clear from the forum that many of your own suppliers supply directly to the very same people here.

Do yourself a favour and visit the RAGE that takes place in September and see all your suppliers selling directly to end users gamers

At least we have been transparent and have nothing to hide in getting the members of MyBB to purchase from us and allowing them the opportunity to become future entrepreneurs in our country.

As far as I can see after a quick look you guys dont even list BenQ screens on your site, neither samsung hdd. Thats just what I checked out, there may be more. So why so anal? cause you afraid you loose out on screwing a few customers?

So are they going after PCZones as well (the cheaper than suppliers people in KZN?)
 
I for one can say for a fact that Dealers DO actually make it easy to buy from them.

Yeah even PCInternational are cheaper than rectron on some of their stuff (Like when I bought my 4870X2 - they sold it for R6500 including VAT, while rectron was R7000 EXCLUDING VAT, and frontosa at a staggering R7777 EXCLUDING VAT)
