Is that Hisense 32D20 good enough for simply watching DSTV on a standard decoder? Would SD actually look better than on a Full HD Samsung for example?

The unwillingness of Esquire to clarify their return/refund policy has speaks volumes. They just lost a sale and a client.

Return of products or cancellation of service agreements
Esquire Online Store shall, subject to the exclusions provided for below and the provisions relating to any return of products or cancellation of a service agreement, allow the return of products or cancellation of a service agreement, within seven days of the date of receipt by you of the products or the conclusion of an agreement to provide services. Exclusions from return of products or cancellation of service agreements
The provisions of this agreement relating to the return of goods and cancellation of any agreement to provide services shall not apply if:
any products and services are acquired by auction;
to services which commenced with the customers consent, (either express or implied) prior to the expiry of the seven day period;
where the price of the products or services depends on fluctuation in financial markets beyond the control of Esquire Online Store;
where the products are personalised or made to the customers specifications;
where the products by reason of their nature cannot be returned;
if audio, video recordings or any form of computer software are either used or if supplied other than in digital form, if the seal on the storage media is broken;
the sale of reading material in whatever form.
Customers obligations on return of products and services
If a customer cancels any transaction in respect of which delivery of the products or services (to the extent that the may be returned) have been delivered, within seven days of the receipt of the products or services, the customer shall return to Esquire Online Store or it’s authorised agents, the products, undamaged in any manner, together with all packing materials and documentation delivered by Esquire Online Store or its agents, to the customer as well as a written indication of the customers choice to cancel the transaction.
The customer shall refund to Esquire Online Store all direct expenses incurred by Esquire Online Store or it’s authorised agents, in the delivery of the products and services ordered by the customer, as well as the direct expenses incurred by Esquire Online Store or it’s authorised agents in accepting return of the products and cancellation of the provision of services, arising as a result of the return of the products or cancellation of the services ordered by the customer.
Esquire Online Store’s obligations on return of the products and services
Within thirty days of return of the products or receipt of notice of cancellation of the agreement to deliver services Esquire Online Store or it’s authorised agents shall refund to the customer any amounts paid by the customer less any amounts due by the customer to Esquire Online Store as provided for above.
Disclosures in terms of section 43 of the Act: The following information is made available to you in compliance with Section 43 of the Act.
Full name and legal status of website owner:Esquire Online Store is the trading name and is wholly owned by Esquire Online Store a company duly incorporated in terms of the company laws of South Africa.

Thanks but I wanted to hear it from the horse's mouth. The reason for that is because I've read on the forum and chatted to some people who have said that they had endless issues trying to get products repaired and refunded from Esquire. Apparently the manager is always not in the office when items need to be returned or refunded.

Truth be told,I used to have endless nightmares with warranties ( there is 1 or 2 threads of mine here attesting to it ) but my last 3 warranty issues were sorted out without paying a dime and quite quickly

Dunno about refunds,my stuff only fails later :p

With Esquire? Their unwillingness to confirm anything is activating alarm bells for me.

I do apologise for the delay as we are in month-end and it is extremely busy with all these specials trying to get all the orders out before month-end.

We have a standard warranty policy with all our products as per our pricelist and a best practise with is standard with all distributors in South Africa

However we do not have a buyer’s remorse policy whereby you purchase a product and decide that you not need the product any longer or do not like the product , as we do not add extra to our pricing to offer this type of service.

as a member of MyBB you can purchase from us like any other reseller with the same trading terms and conditions , we made this concession for MyBB members as we feel that MyBB members are tech savvy and do not need any high level support which we cannot offer as we do not have the infrastructure to support this , our business models is mass distribution and volume driven.

If you feel that you require this type of service , we suggest you purchase items from Retail Online Stores or Retailers

Thanks Esquire. I just want to know that if I purchase something and there are issues, that I can return it without having any issues etc. As I mentioned before, the only reason I asked for this is because I've read a few stories about users that bought items and had trouble getting it repaired etc.
