Esquire-Hard Disk specials and more....

No 3TB seagates on special? :o

I make a point of not buying from anyone who do not advertise vat-inclusive prices. This falls under false marketing to me - and I hate false marketing.

That's fine, it's not meant for you. More for me :D

And me :) - needed more space and couldn't wait for prices to come down more so picked up a 1.5TB 5900rpm which will keep me going for a couple of months.

BTW what do people find so difficult about multiplying the VAT excl price by 1.14

Picked up two of those yesterday. Hp Microserver is much happier now :D

@Esquire : I can't find prices for the POV GTX 680 or GTX 670 on either your pricelist or online, do you have stock of them?

Wtf why would anyone complain about esquire ??? :wtf: they are bringing bargains to our door step and yet all people can do is b@tch and moan

Its not like anyone's forcing you to buy from Esquire, in fact Incredible advertises vat-inclusive so why don't you go pay their inflated price & leave the Esquire specials for the grown-ups.

Another topic - it's June & hard drive prices still haven't dropped to anything near pre-flood prices as predicted. Are the importers profiteering at our expense again?

You might see some price drops on drives as the UK and US markets are going in to Spring break which we call low season as no one in those regions are looking to purchase just partying which puts pressure on the vendors to move stock , But with rand currently the way it is at the moment those price drops are not significant as what you save on the price drop you pay on the higher exchange rate.

I just did some costing of goods that came in today even though the items were bought a few dollars cheaper the pricing is about the same due to a 13% Rand devaluation.
If the Rand gets back to R7.40-R7.60 mark this will make the pricing a whole lot more attractive.

So pricing on hard disk drives at the moment are at really good deals even though they seem high.
