I can't actually post in the dealer section ... but notice they don't have 2TB drives.

This just a stock issue or something?
Will be shortly?

EDIT : Seagate specifically

They also had no stock on 3TB drives when I was there the weekend before the past one...
I then also asked for 2TB, they said they have none.

/I urgently needed one so I got a 2TB Seagate external from Makro Centurion.

I am not sure what 2TB drive you are referring to, as we do have stock on both internal and external drives both Seagate, as well as 3TB internal drives also Seagate , do not look at the online store , rather call in to a sales consultant as with the product codes changes we still need to add to the pricelist which then gets imported to the online store. If you are in one of the other regions there is bit of an issue with stock, as the couriers do not want to pick and deliver to the branches , we had to send out own trucks to deliver at 3am in the morning when all those strikers are asleep.

It is a nightmare and a huge challenge at the moment with deliveries to other regions but we are delivering , might just a an extra day or so to get there. I know Cape Town , Port Elizabeth already got their stocks in this morning , Durban normally get on a Friday but will be there on Wednesday

The other challenge now is the Rand/Dollar currently trading at 8.94 ,( 9% increase since Thursday last week) that is playing havoc on stock pricing , already all other distributors have pushed up their price this morning we will do an adjustment on Friday so there is still time to get items at old pricing

Another question. Why can't we get 2TB 5400 RPM drives anymore? Before the Seagate/Samsung buyout I purchased 5400RPM Samsung drives which are perfect because they run very cool, quiet and are energy efficient.

Getting any Samsung (2Tb) drives again?

After the whole 7200.11 fiasco  , I'm not touching seagate again.

In the list I downloaded this morning, there were no Seagate drives ... think was 500, 750, 1 and 3.

There ARE Western Digital - but I wasn't sure of the speed. However I'll probably get them anyhow
