Why is the EliteBook so expensive? Doesn't look impressive at all (given the price).

Only the hard-drive and CPU is slightly better on the EliteBook VS. Probook 4730s (which I can vouch for is a great laptop).

It's more durable its built to pass the US military MIL-STD-810 standard and it's lighter 2kgs vs 2.9kgs


EDIT:- And it fits into the HP docking stations
