Large technology wholesaler in South Africa hit by data breach

Technology distributor Esquire notified customers on Wednesday that it had suffered a data breach affecting a portion of the SQL database powering its API data feed.

“It is important to note that our primary database and financial systems remain fully secure,” Esquire said.
 
I use them quite frequently and often find their prices competitive on certain items and they also stock a large variety of products. Personally I have only had good service from them.

A lot of what they sell is cheaper elsewhere. The most laughable thing about them is they're the only disti to charge for access to their stock feed - R 228.85 per month, at that.
