It seems I'm a day late as the prices expired yesterday... What're the new prices?

Nice nice, would love to see a review as i'm itching for a change of headies

Just waiting for a friend's one to arrive (CT stock expected to arrive today)... then I'll give it a go and report back :D

I have not forgotten about ya'll.

Friend is still waiting for das courier to pitch. :(
Not getting my hopes up to get them tested before the long weekend, will report back once she gets them ... sometime in the next decade or three ...

Well colour me surprised, they look stunning and feel quite sturdy to boot! This is the type of Fong Kong stuff one is willing to pay for. Will be testing them a bit later. :D

Picked up one of the cheapies (nc1) yesterday, very impressed. While I am no expert on such things, I really like these, they sound great and no distortion when I turned them to the max.

...
1 Question: Is the in-line microphone always-on? As in, no need to press in a button of flick over a switch to be able to use it hands-free?

It seems to be on all the time...

It seems to be on all the time...

Yep, it is - happy with that. Saw a review online somewhere that the Oblanc NC1 supposedly comes with a pushbutton-mic that would render the mic useless imo.

Extremely happy with the quality on these babies. They feel like a proper R700-800 pair of headphones. My gf popped them on, took one look at the headphones, one look at the price and went all ... get me one
In my opinion these headphones are quite comfortable and I have to say that the egg/oval shape ear pieces fits perfectly over my ears compared to some of the more rounder headsets I've experienced over the times. The soft and leathery cushioning on the earpieces and on the headband makes for quite a nice fit without creating the need to pop them off once in a while as I am currently experiencing with my old pair. They even have an aluminum backing inside the headband for support or whatnot that adds to the overall quality of the headphones imo.

While I am also no expert I was able to push this NC1 way beyond what my old ones were able to do without them even hinting at any distortion. I listen to this one track the whole time and it is the first time I hear some of the stuff so clearly. On a certain frequency range somewhere above 2k my old pair obviously had a impairment that I was never aware of.

Seriously considering getting myself a pair (or two) ... I regret that I did not order myself a pair earlier when it was on special, but was unsure about the mic situation at that stage as the product page was unclear about this and I did not want to tempt fate...

Edit:Pics available on request.

I am glad you like them, when we first tested them at CES Las Vegas 2013 , we were also surprised at the quality of the product for the price point, as we could not find a fault with them

When I read this thread's title, I thought Esquire started selling their own brand of wine.

Thanks but I won't really make use of the headset. I have two headsets lying around right now thats going to waste. I'm just glad you liked the wine. :)
