Esquire Specials

A lot of distributed items are based on the landed Rand/Dollar exchange rate. The price is relative to the point in time of purchase... It's unlucky if this happens but I don't see it as underhanded

How can Esquire offer a Special on a product and less then a week later have that same product on Special for a lower price and then not credit said difference in price?

Can someone from Esquire explain this underhandedness.

It's not underhandedness - its business

:crylaugh:

Did you misread the price when you bought it? Willing buyer, willing seller. If you paid the price you did for it, that means you agreed that the price was acceptable when you bought it.

This, definitely not underhanded. You were aware of the price when you purchased it. Companies that offer to credit the difference do so at their discretion.

There is a semi-ethical life hack...

Scenario:

You bought item x for R200 on 1 Feb 2017, you go home an open the item and use it

You see the same item x for R120 on 4 Feb 2017... Simply go and purchase it, but do not open it...

On 5 Feb 2017, take the item you purchased on 4 Feb 2017 with the invoice you got on 1 Feb 2017, and get a refund/credit.

This will only work if there is no serial number tracking with the supplier.

Why don't I get Esquire specials emailed to me any more? They stopped last year.:(
