Hi All

Today we doing a Storage Special with great pricing on Kingston flash drives, FreeCom External Hard Drives units as well as Samsung, Seagate and Hitachi drives that we have currently in stock.
http://specials.esquire.co.za/2010_11_08_StorageSpecial.html

Please take note that pricing is about rise as we approaching “ High Season” as the US and European markets are buying up stocks to prepare to Xmas rushes in those countries.

If you remember and check the threads from last year you will notice that 1TB jumped up but almost 20% during the same period last year and is about to go up again this year maybe not as much as 20% but significant increase is expected.

We have already been given notification that panels pricing for LCD’s and Memory pricing is already up on our next shipments arriving early December

Notebooks
Today we sold 337 units out of 2000 of those entry level notebook at R2899 excl vat , as that pricing is absolutely crazy, especially that it comes with Windows 7 Professional at that price.so don’t delay start selling these units to make extra cash for the Holidays.

Esquire dont see those 2TB Samsungs on special, Seagates been getting some bad reviews & crashes even experienced by some of the mybb members.
Would rather get sammy's, have 3 x1TB's and so far been working ok.

Esquire, do you sell any WD Hard Drives or SSD Drives?

Damn, and I was just there yesterday. I didn't see any posters or anything in the store mentioning the specials, otherwise I would have bought some hard drives.

Say guys, what's better for a RAID 5 setup? Hard drives from different manufacturers, or hard drives from the same, but most trusted manufacturer? Isn't it more likely for 2 hard drives from the same batch to fail prematurely? Or should I just call out all the stops and get RAID 6?

Damn! Awesome deals as always. Wish I had an account :(. I think I need a few HDDs here ;).

Can't we still buy on the MyBB account anymore?! :O

Yes and No. There isn't a MyBB account anymore, however Esquire will create a personal account for any MyBB member that asks them for one. That's how I got my account. Just PM esquire.

Funny thing, I expected Esquire to be this MASSIVE warehouse, but it looks like your typical computer store, just with a lot more stacked boxes.

Lol, I was at the one in Milnerton, Cape Town. I went there to buy HDMI cables, and expecting to see boxes of it, I only found like 10 left. I used to purchase 20 per week through GPX Technologies t.a. Mega Stuff, but I thought I'd save some cash and go directly to the source.

I guess other branches would be much larger, but the one in Cape Town is rather small. By the way, if one branch is out of stock, but other branches still have, do the other branches that have stock left, dispatch a portion to the branches with little stock? If they do how long does it take?

Also, are the 1TB HDD's still on special? When I checked last week, the web link to the specials page wasn't working, so I assumed that the special was over, that and the fact that the special was supposedly only until 12th November (or was it the 17th?).

Thats what I did (a few weeks ago), but still haven't received a reply. :(

Just PM him/her again.

Anyway, I'm seriously interested in getting me another hard drive. RebelTech got 1TB HDD's for R534.19, but I wanna see how much Esquire will charge now that the special is over, or at least I think it's over.
