Is it just a matter of rocking up there with the invoice & gear?

The item (HDD) is still inside the warranty period.

Is that the manufacturers' warranty period, or the standard 12 months Esquire one? They do require the original invoice.

I have heard that they only do they only do the 12 month one, but I could be mistaken.

Bought the HDD at their birthday promotion so should be inside both Seagates & Esquires warranty period.

They record serial numbers and they reference those according to the ones on their list from Seagate and WD. All you have to do is rock up with the drive because they can track when it was sold. Then its as simple as booking it in for a repair or exchange.

Shot. Thanks

Hope its that simple. Last time i checked they REQUIRED the original invoice before even looking at anything.

Yeah there were a number of threads on here about the required invoice thing, but maybe they have changed their ways lately. Good luck.

Yes we do require the invoice to make sure that you are the original purchaser of the product , however if read threads about a few months ago or maybe about a year ago , you will read that we change the policy to accept your Xpress card as proof of purchase
The Hard disk drives serial number is recorded so we know when it was purchased.

@Kayvee You are mistaking us for another distributor that only give one year on all their products irrespective if it has a longer warranty , their justification is that they discount the product so they only give a year warranty on all their products
We give the same warranty as the manufacturer on all our products , some Hard disk drives do have One year warranty as per the manufacturer until it was changed to two years or longer

Thanks for the clarification and update Esquire. Good to know my drive warranty is safe with you :)

Yes, just one reason right there why I will never buy again from those other guys you are referring to  .... as tempting as their prices may be.
