okay so i got my paws on a Eten X 500 ...
Built-in GPS .. SirfStar III .. satellite acquisition time is pretty damn quick ..
the device is sporting Windows Mobile 5.0 AKU 3.2 ... with the Built-in WiFi it supports all security features ... It still has the old Wireless Modem utility as well as the new Internet Sharing app which can be used in a Bluetooth Personal Area Network ( AKU 3.2 feature )
Powered by the 400 Mhz Samsung Processor ( found in the TyTN ) the X500 has no problem running Multiple apps simultaneously ...
128 MB ROM and 64 MB SDRAM ... seems to be an industry standard ...

The GPS module supports TMC over RDS ... A simple little app allows you to take advantage of this and use it as a FM Tuner ...
Image maker ... Light weight version of MS paint .. used in conjunction with the Image Wizard you can edit pictures taken with the 2.0 Mega Pixel camera on the device.
on the Phone side ... a tad bit naughty ... Call Filter allows you to filter names and numbers sending the call straight to voice mail ..
The index dial makes one handed dialing a breeze .. something not easily achieved with most PDA's ... The app brings up super large buttons .. from A - Z .. tap a letter and it brings up the corresponding contacts ..
M-Desk button gives you a large icon list allowing you to launch apps etc without using you stylus ..
With these apps your device is pretty much geared to be used with one hand for most operations without having to whip out your stylus ...
If this is still doesn't do it for you ... Voice Commander has been added as well
Activate any application, make a call, call up your messages and calendar and have it read out to ... This app has been designed to make me even lazier .
The device is Bundled with Handymap Ai Gold ... one feature i am looking forward to is the speed trap camera notification ... there is nothing worse than being caught by one of those camera's ..
Eten have also been so kind as to throw in a backup uitlity ... even though WM 5.0 has permanent data storage .. you find yourself installing all kinds of apps which could lead to you corrupting your Operating system .. this provides a " System restore " point ... i trash my devices all the time .. Re-installing all you apps etc can be a pain ... if you dont have the time ..
Battery life is great for a PDA ... talk time up to 7 hours ...

Speaker phone is not as loud as i expected it to be ...
Edge ... i suppose 3G or HSDPA would drastically reduce the battery life ..
