Some more stuff being done at the new house.

I've run 3 ethernet cables up to the top floor, and these will be entering into one of the rooms through the ceiling and then into a wall box. I plan at least another 5 cables. There won't be conduit between celling entry and wall box.

For those that have done celling entry for multiple cables, what did you use to tidy it up and prevent dust/bug ingress into the room?

I've been looking for a grommet or cable gland that can be fitted to the ceiling board. All I found locally are desk grommets. I could use one of those, but there usually have an opening that will allow dust through. Finding a brushed one seems difficult, but I can add filter behind it.

Looking for something like this:

Both will have to have filters.

Would like to see ideas of how to make a clean ceiling cable entry.

Use trunking down the wall. Cut a hole just big enough for it to fit through the ceiling then seal round it with silicone.

Something like this: Trunking

Trunking, you can get the right size for multiple cabling.
