EU agrees new gun rules after militant attacks

Wottawuss. :p

I could fire a whole belt through an LMG, from the shoulder. Practice makes perfect. ;)

/boast off

LMG is easy. You have the weight of the barrel keeping the thing in check plus you can adjust the rate of fire. R1 is too light. Damn thing is all over the place. Point is actually that no civilian has any need on earth to own an automatic assault rifle.

Edit to add: I love guns.

I once tried an R1 on full automatic with a 40 round clip. Suffice to say I never tried it again.

Suppose to be shot in bursts :p

I have fired numerous weapons including an AK. The most amazing thing about an AK is the sound. The gun sounds like it takes breaths between bursts. Short bursts of about 3 to 5 rounds. But it takes practice and even then I could not get close to target without having to take time and re-aim between bursts. Full auto is great for suppression fire, but beyond that... worthless.

For someone with a name like Glock26... :D

This must be a joke right?
Honest question here. The firearms that were used, were they legally licensed fully automatic weapons? Licensed to the shooters?

Illegally ofc. But there is way more to a fire-arm being legal vs non-legal.

Just of the top of my head:
1. Obviously more easy to obtain from licensed owners due to robbery or murder
2. Ammo readily available
3. Can be used to train with a shooting ranges and the likes

I can make a list as long as this page. There are other things bigger at stake here than just the guns. Can you imagine the carnage we would have had in SA if R5s, LMGs, R1s, Uzis, AKs and the likes were legal? Geesus...

But you are allowed a AK, R5, Uzi and even a R1 but it needs to be semi automatic and this is my point.

Unlicensed AUTOMATIC weapons were used and now they want to ban the licensed SEMI automatics which were not used.

You have to start somewhere. Gun violence is not something you fix over a weekend. We lived in the Middle East for a very long time where guns of any kind is banned. Strangely enough there was virtually no crime involving firearms. The odd thing with a sword or a knife but virtually no gun deaths. Maybe, just maybe, it was a coincidence.

Returning a factory created Auto back to Auto is so simple and child can do it ;)

You do not have to imagine the carnage ALREADY taking place with ILLEGAL full auto weapons ( R4 /5 and AK47's )

In certain states in the US you MAY legally own a full auto ( just have to pay the ATF some bucks )
You should check out the auto firearms meets in Nevada -- on You Tube
I do not see many murders etc etc with any of these legally owned full auto firearms / CANONS
The You Tube clips are fantastic
