Good afternoon all admins

Who of you are hosting Euphoria VOIP systems at your workplace/employment?

We are looking at alternatives to our current Cisco VoIP system - it is well over 6 years old at this stage, and we are a bit hindered by it not having advanced functions such as call logging amongst others.

The pain in the butt is when we get new handsets which requires new codes and updates to be loaded on the Cisco router, and that requires a call-out from the company who installed it for us.

So basically we are looking at a system which we can self-administrate, which will be a bit cheaper than the Cisco kit, and which we can update ourselves with new firmware/software when these comes out.

TIA

No experience with Euphoria but how a big office setup is this? On larger installations an on site PABX may be a better idea.

You can also have a look at the Switchvox equipment for larger offices. Or even raw Asterisk, something I actually prefer instead of all the pretty front ends.

We are using them as well. Just don't route your call over LTE, unless you have excellent signal for LTE and the LTE is being used for nothing else. Your initial switch might be costly, depending on how maybe phones you need to buy, other than that, it's the way to go.

Forgot to mention that we're located in Pretoria. :o

Doesn't matter where you are, as long as you have internet access. ;)

Hi Tania

What is your monthly charge for a sip account?

Last quote i had in November 2016 was about R85 per extension.

think cheapest hosted offer i had was switchtel (about R250 per 10 extensions. )

best is to get quotes from a few places, with your number of people, planned growth - and comparing hosted / on-site PABX's

Few places you can contact :
HD Telecom (hosted + onsite)
Switchtel (Hosted)
Bitco (Hosted)
Euphoria (Hosted)
VOX (Hosted + onsite)

i have heard conflicting stories about running VOIP via LTE - thus keep a backup plan ready should the LTE give problems (fiber best choice)

@minster, I dont think this was answered, I also work for Euphoria.

We dont sell SIP trunks on their own, we sell extensions, with SIP, billing, TMS and PBX functionality included.
Express Extensions (No Queues) = R65 per month per extension
Enterprise Ext (Full Package) = R85 per month per extension
Integrator (For High outbound calling companies) = R125 per month per extension, but you get a reduced call rate.

Thank you

Hi @Neo_X, if you use LTE in conjunction with Vibe Technology, i.e in Rainmode which is a technology built into Vibe LTE (as long as you are using it only for voice ) should be fine. Obviously if you are getting low speeds, it wont work.

Rain mode enables you to use two different forms of connectivity to put your voice over, i.e pushing the call over both links. Costs slightly more, but you now have a 200% change of getting the call to the destination.
Thanks

How is it going so far? I am looking at getting the same.

I just signed the documents today. Their support team has been amazing so far - very professional. I looked at around 10 different providers before settling on Switch.
