Well, got these just now via N4G.

MGS4 in the nr13 spot for software sales.
DS and Wii filling all other spots with Wii Fit at nr2 and Wii Sports at nr1!

PS3 having a lead in both software and hardware sales on the 360.
This can be allocated to MGS4 - nicely done.

I am surprised to see that the PS2 is selling almost as much as the 360.
Considering price I am quite surprised to see this.

Lets see what September/October holds for sales.

I don't trust any of the VG stats anymore, they've made a couple of big FU's lately.

They've got Battlefield as only having sold 600k units, whereas EA announced yesterday that it's sold over 1.6 Million copies! That's a bit of a big discrepancy...

Well if you look at how they do some of the projections, In Japan they only use the data for one retailer to predict the whole market, and sometimes they have to geus what is sold as the retailer was out of stock.

yes overall on console shipmints they are in the ballpark because every few months
they adjust the numbers to gell more with shipment targets they get from sony , microsoft and nintendo.

Expect a big adjustment on the numbers like they do every time numbers from NDP, charttract etc became available.

it is quite hard to choose who to trust yeah. the person who is trying to sell the game (EA) or the fanbois (VG).

It does seem that the 360 is outselling the PS3 at the moment and that is WITH MGS4.

Being a "Guestimate" site I don't mind a few variances here or there, it's to be expected, but with BF they're a million units short! That's a 300% variance!

Did you see the US sales - also suspect. Understandable that folks are snapping up the $300 20Gb's, but for the PS3 to fall out so quickly is also very odd.
