HAs anyone tried waterless coolant.

I have heard good reviews and its used by Jay leno in all his vehicles. What attracts me is that you never need to replace it. Zero corrosion especially if it is a vehicle standing for long periods. also improved cooling.
Does anyone know or used the product?

The advantages as per Evans:

Evans waterless coolants offer several benefits to save you money, time and engine wear.
No Corrosion: Because they remove water from the cooling engine system, Evans waterless coolants prevent water-caused corrosion.
No Erosion: Evans coolants remain in liquid form and do not vaporize, preventing the “pitting” caused by water vapor.
No Overheating: Evans waterless coolants prevent over-boiling by raising the boiling point of antifreeze from around 226°F for water-based antifreeze to 375°F—far about the operating temperature of an engine.
No Electrolysis: The absence of water in Evans Waterless Coolant, substantially reduces electrical conductivity of Evans coolant which sharply reduces incidents of electrolysis.
No Pressure: Because Evans coolants remain in liquid form, they prevent stress on cooling system components such as hoses, pump seals and radiator seams due to high water pressure.

How does Evans help stop coolant change-outs?: Evans has always contended that the absence of water in a cooling system removes the root causes of metal corrosion, electrolysis, and high system pressures.

No Freezing: Evans coolants have natural antifreeze properties down to -40°F—no need to worry about maintaining a 50-50 water-antifreeze balance.
No Flushing: Evans coolants do not degrade and are designed to last the life of your engine, so you’ll never need to add or change coolant or flush your radiator

Hi Sinbad have you tried? I know of a couple of racing guys using it. Wondering real life how it performs.

Remember, racing guys will service their engines after every event. Guaranteed, they replace the coolant.
Your car's manufacturer specifies what coolant to use. Stick with that and you won't have any problems.

CAT® ELC PREMIX

Extended Life Coolant Premix
Description:
Cat® ELC incorporates an advanced technology with organic acid corrosion inhibitors for maximum copper, solder, brass, steel, cast iron, and aluminum. protection.

Attributes:
Lowers maintenance costs by eliminating the need for supplemental coolant additives, extends coolant change-out intervals, and reduces disposal requirements.

Recommended Application:
Cat ELC is recommended in most Cat machine engine and machines. Do Not Add Water to dilute.

Its a synthetic oil based heat transfer fluid. There is nothing magical about it save for thr fact it has a heat capacity roughly half that of water. In other words it may lead to higher engine operating temperatures and thereby increases the likely-hood of overheating

Rather stick with water as your coolant as per the manufacturers instructions - its pretty good

Suspect - nothing like doing a oil and radiator flush - dont believe in this extended nonsense.
