Latest video from Eve online of how Eve and Dust 514 will merge.

personal note... the detail of ships in space is how you see things in game play

Does this mean storyline?

I would play eve again if there was a storyline.

You could follow the Sisters of Eve quests, or any of the instances if you wanted story.

Now get back in here and sit really still in that Tengu... ;)

Lol. I finished all those quests, battered around a bit.. joined eve uni and couldn't do crap for weeks cos some 4 man circus kept declaring war..

Just got annoyed with the whole thing..

Yeah Eve is definitely for those who love being involved in bully games, scams and generally enjoy making life a misery for others. Of course, you need to be able to take the misery and dish it out. Eve allows people to live out their fantasy of being a bad guy/girl pretty well. PVE stories? Very little of that, what exists is only there to set you up as a target for someone to spoil your day.

Join a nullsec corp/alliance. Thats where the real fun in eve is.. I am part of an alliance that has just managed to take extreme revenge on old enemies by taking their home systems and forcing them to run away.. Revenge for them doing the same thing to us a year ago...

How the wheel turns...

I hope you're not in Tenal, 'cause I hear the Goons are gonna burn it down.

Ag man, while I loved EVE it was this kind crap that got to me as well. Cry baby on a soapbox... it gets old quick.
There is more to life than trying to get justice because you were given a one month ban in a game. ...

EDIT:"Mittani went too far. I am all for their random griefing and other crap they do in EvE, as they themselves said, they want to ruin the game for OTHERS, not ruin the game in general. But then he openly suggests other people to pressure a guy who is already depressed (goons ruined his game) and suicidal, quote "if you want to make the guy go kill himself, his name is [[REDACTED]]". That is basically openly harassing a person in RL. He deserves a lifelong ban, not 30 day ban..."

Mittani should have been permabanned for that, and possibly charged. Maybe a month or two in jail without EVE is what he needs.

When it was announced that "safe" space was going to be made totally safe by CCP on the first of April, totally safe, as in NO ONE can get ganked in safe space, I actually went to the EVE website and was about to re-sub, just because of that. Then I read that it was an April Fool joke and closed the website in disgust.

Seriously, Eve would have so many more people subscribe if they could actually play the game without being harassed in 1.0 space. Space is huge in Eve, I have no idea why the game cannot have the rest of huge space where people can make each other miserable and leave the carebears alone in the small little bit that is 1.0.

It is really not that bad, I have never lost a ship in high sec other then while I was war decced. Just be smart about it, find the systems that are less populated. I think its like real life, if your going to walk down the street in the CBD decked in rolex's well you can guess what might happen. Your gonna get ganked.

I never had issue with that, however I did change my views in eve later to do a lot of high sec pirating, but if you learn how the game mechanics work, you are safe 98% of the time.

Dont mine in jet cans.
Don't shoot flashy red, no matter how tempting that little thief is.
Always haul in largest ship u have with best armour setup possible to avoid suicides.
If you make an extremely valuable purchase and want to move it.....just wait a few days. Sometimes people look who purchased their RARE/faction stuff, and wait for them to undock right away and suicide gank, hoping to loot it back.

Hope that helps.

If it doesnt, train up some combat skills, READ the "Basic Guide to Piracy" ( so you know their tactics and how to avoid them) and have a little fun/pewpew

EVE is a lot of fun, was just too time consuming for me and i had to move on. One day I may resub , but not right now

I really wish EVE had something more like the camera Homeworld had, the reason I stopped trying EVE was due to the camera being crappy imo, also the games complexity (hard for noobs to get into it) and the fact that you must pay monthly to play it, otherwise would of been a cool game.

I hate the suicide gankers, but this is one of the reasons I started playing eve, nowhere is safe. I CCP do this, eve would not be the same. Eve is not WOW.
I've only been ganked once in my 5 years of playing.

With the boomerang exploit being patched, ganking will be far less common.

Clearly, these people complaining about 'safety' in Eve don't want a game that involves a little risk (and that's only risk to a few internet spaceshipz). You want a game without that level of risk, a game that is not as 'hard for noobs'. That's fine. I hope you find it.

But it doesn't make Eve any less great.

Even though I don't play anymore, I still consider it the most ambitious, groundbreaking, addictive and complex MMO I have ever seen or played. I loved it, but too much of one thing always tends to make we want to get clear for a while.

One day I may resub. I have "quit" EVE about 4 times now, lol

And No, you cant "haz my stuff" :)
