Ever used Apple's Emergency SOS?

Our farming district has a number of communication and SOS channels but I was wondering if anyone had made real life use of Apple's Emergency SOS?

As far as I know it just routes to your local service automatically.

That's satellite SOS, I think he's referring to the normal one you get on the phone.

Emergency SOS via satellite is available in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Portugal, the UK and the US

Correct yes. I have 4 contacts set up that will receive an SOS SMS along with my location from my phone when I press the power and a volume button simultaneously.
