Everest base camp groupon

Doesn't include airfare, so I'd say no. Its highish in price for what it is.

Nepal is dirt cheap though, if you're willing to diy a bit, can be done for about 500-600$ in Nepal.

See http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowTopi..._Trek_Nepal_November_December_2013-Nepal.html

*Tons* of people in Kathmandu there who want to sell trips, so its easy to organize.
I recommend a day or three in Kathmandu though - drink lassee's and enjoy the place. Tons of temples, and old buildings, plus gorgeous little kids wearing kohl and eyeshadow (girls under 2).
Also recommend going to buktapur (can't remember how to spell it properly). They had an earthquake there when i was there (common occurence though!) - they have bells hung outside the houses, and when they start ringing everyone gets outside into the open.
I loved Nepal, and wanted to go again, but then the civil war screwed things up for a good few years..

Its not cheap at all, it seems to be roughly what most places are charging for the experience.

that's pretty much a standard price if you organise through a local operator in Nepal, no way is it a 55% discount

Aren't groupon usually kinda pricey ?

I recall seeing those R300.00 R5 coins for 10x the price or something
