Johannesburg - Former Springbok centre Japie Mulder has admitted that over an extended period he indecently assaulted a young girl, and tried to rape her.

Mulder was fined R120 000 or three years in prison in terms of a plea bargain in which he pleaded guilty to charges of indecent assault and soliciting a minor.

So does the same apply to everyone who admits they tried to rape a person or just South African "celebs"

Bad man.
At least he has been convicted, which is more often not the case.

Ask anyone who has served time. A R120,00 fine is a far more lenient punishment than 3 years of your life spent in a prison.

R 120 000 is a pathetic fine for such a crime.

The girl should have been given millions ... she has to live with the pain for the rest of her life. Yes, money cannot fix the pain, but it can help her better her life in many ways.

R 120 000 is the price of a low-end car. Sad really.

The girl doesn't get a cent. The 120k is a fine which will go towards financing some official's luxury german sedan
