Excel 2008 (Mac) - 1.7MB file, had data, but now no data?

Hi all

As per title, 1.7MB Excel 2008 (Mac) file. Had various sheets with quite a bit of data, which was saved constantly throughout the day.

Then after closing and opening the 1.7MB file a while later, there is no data inside, just a big highlighted area on each sheet?

Quite strange, can anyone assist? Trying to help an older lady, and I don't want to put it down to user error just as yet...

Mac, err there's the problem.

Well first try looking in /Users/*username*/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Office/Office 2008 AutoRecovery

There might be a version there if your lucky.

If not, hopefuly Time Machine is running. Copy the Latest version on to a Flash and then try restore an older one Via Time Machine.
