In the situation below, I have 12 x data samples in column A
Of these, there are 6 x in column B

Is there anyway to highlight the 6 or somehow identify the 6?
In other words, if B is in A, then highlight ?
Or even make column C the balance?

Hope that makes sense

Highlight both columns.
Home > conditional formatting > new rule
Format only unique or duplicate values > format > Fill tab and select color.

Use XLOOKUP

Open cell c1, open xlookup
Lookup value is cell B1
Lookup array and return array is column A
Leave the rest blank. Hit enter.
Then drag the formula down in column C

The 6 will be duplicated in column C

I went to High School with @TribbleZA . I will ask her on WhatsApp for the solution to your query. She travels around the country giving Excel courses to people in companies.
